Please Don’t Touch the Glass
This painting is a bit of whimsy. Often I’ve seen in aquariums signs urging people to Please Don’t Touch the Glass. Most likely for the sake of the specimens inside the glass enclosures, fish, aquatic mammals, snakes, etc. so as not to disturb them, but a secondary reason is because cleaning glass is a never ending job! My interpretation of this painting is that two blue creatures are visiting an aquarium and looking into a big tank where there is a turtle and a number of manatees.
