PROTECT MOTHER EARTH, is a mixed media collage painting aimed at showing the effects of the climate crisis on Mother earth.  The Indian totem pole is representative of the Arctic thaw and the struggles that it is causing to the Indians as well as to wildlife.  As the ice melts they struggle for existence.  In the meantime, old rivers are drying up due to extreme heat as the earth heats up.  Drought in Africa is causing starvation and more and more serious storms cause flooding to other areas of the earth, washing away crops.  Susan used old torn fabric, black tulle, cording, clothing labels turned inside out, threads and other materials in the creation of this 4 panel landscape.
